A Collection Designed to Preserve Fragrance History

The Historical Collection is intended to provide a fragrance reference library of perfumery ingredients that have been historically important. This collection includes perfumery materials that have been banned or regulated by IFRA (International Fragrance Association) because of their potential to cause skin sensitization (an allergic reaction after repeated exposure). 

The Historical Collection may also include traditional animalics such as Civet, Castoreum, and/or beach-combed Ambergris. Materials collected directly from endangered or threatened species are entirely avoided. 

Top, Middle, and Base Notes are provided by the source material. For example, if Oak Moss, Sandalwood, or Vanilla are listed as Base Notes, the perfume includes the real ingredient. Violet is an exception, there isn't a natural source available so natural isolates are substituted (Alpha and Beta Ionones from natural sources).
