Welcome to Full Petal Alchemy, I'm Jennifer Butel, "the curious nose" behind the brand. I draw inspiration from nature, art, antiquity, mysticism, and mystery. As a former research nurse, the crossroads where science and ritual meet is of particular interest to me. I value curiosity over certainty. 

The ability of fragrance to connect us to antiquity and its ability to offer altered states of consciousness is something I enjoy exploring in my work.

Full Petal Alchemy came about as a way for me to enjoy fragrance in a way that works with my nervous system. For years I worked exclusively with botanical materials. Over time, I discovered I could include select aroma chemicals without compromising the esthetic. I appreciate fragrances that are intimate and provide 2 to 3 hours of wear. I prefer to have the choice to reapply.

Studying ancient and vintage perfume and incense methodologies is also a large part of my work. The ritual of creating and fermenting kyphi, recreating vintage perfumes, and learning how fragrance was incorporated for practical and spiritual purposes across cultures and millennia is something I continue to return to.
