This incense burner reaches temperatures high enough to burn precious woods such as Agarwood (Oud) and Sandalwood. I've been searching for a more affordable alternative to subitism burners, and was thrilled to find this option. I've replaced the cheap metal insert (that smoked at high temps) with a clay bowl. The decorative top metal grate should be left off when the incense burner is in use as it doesn't fit securely on top of the clay bowl.

Instructions:
Never leave this incense burner unattended!
Place enough incense ash, salt, sand, or unscented clay kitty litter to cover the bottom of the clay bowl.
Place the bowl inside the well of the incense burner on top of the white plate.
Place incense, wood, or resin on top of the ash in the clay bowl.
Use the temperature/timer controller to set the time and temperature.
Frankincense and other resins: set the temperature to 350F and wait 5-10 minutes before adjusting the temperature upwards if necessary. The temperature can be lowered at any time if there is excessive smoke.
Agarwood and sandalwood: set the temperature to 400F and waiting 5-10 minutes before adjusting the temperature upwards if necessary. The temperature can be lowered at any time if there is excessive smoke.
Safety considerations:
Never leave the incense warmer unattended.
Keep away from children and pets.
It is not recommended to set the timer for longer than 1 hour.
Never use oils or water in the incense burner. It is intended to be used with dry incense materials.
